I got some author copies of Children of Scarabaeus in the mail yesterday - it's such a thrill to hold my book in my hands! My daughter was moderately impressed until she got stuck on the first word, and threw the book across the room.
I love it! When my daughter was that age, and grabbing for my paperback romances, I decided to just give her one. She tried turning pages, then ripped one, and looked very confused when she couldn't put the scrap of paper back where it came from! She is three now, and she still likes grabbing a "kissy book" from the shelf and curling up with me, pretending to read just like me.

Well, that's her shortcoming; not the book's ;-) Maybe she'll be more receptive to Daddy's book next year ;-)
Daddy's book will be hardback - she won't be able to heft it!
haha! babies are amazingly strong! you'd be surprised what she can pick up, and throw! just wait.
lol - thanks for the laugh, I needed it.
I also need to read your book - waiting (sort of) patiently for it to come out. :)
This is too cute! You should use this picture as promotional material :)
