Somewhere between Cherryh and Czerneda...

Okay, as I can't be in North American bookstores right now, I need your help. If you see my book in your local store, please take a moment to snap a photo and email it to me (saracreasy@gmail.com). When SONG came out, I went to my local stores and signed copies and took pictures and generally hung around the area feeling special. I desire the vicarious pleasure of seeing my name on the shelves a second time around.

Why can't your books be in North American stores right now?

Sorry, maybe I missed something because I just recently became a fan of yours (I hope you can forgive me for being late).

I went all over the place trying to find a copy before I finally just had to order it. It was worth the wait though now I can't wait for the next.

The official release date is something like 4th April but bookstores are shipped their copies before that. Sometimes they put them on the shelves early, sometimes not. Then for some reason Amazon's release date is always a few days earlier, in my case 29th March, so that's the date I'm calling my release date. Anyway, I probably should've written this post next week!

Sorry you couldn't find it - now that you've ordered it, I hope you enjoy it!

My camera is not currently working, but rest assured that your book is on shelves, at least at the Barnes and Noble in Fargo, North Dakota. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it after devouring Song of Scarabaeus.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for these books! They are just wonderful, and I loved them. I can't wait to read more of your work!

That's good to know! You are my first confirmation that the book exists in physical form in the US. And thanks for the kind words. More coming... soon...

I'll send you a photo, but I went to the "Mall of America" (aka: largest mall in USA, I guess) last night & the B&N had your book.

I had to ask though, thus gaining enlightenment - it wasn't next to your first book. Turns out it was only in the "New Release" section.

Sponge Bob in the Nichelodian Universe was very estatic to see your book as well! That's the full-size amuzement park under-glass at the center this big mall. I can send you a photo of his joy as well :)

Did they have any Song of Scarabaeus left? One advantage of a sequel is that it sells a few more of the first book. At least, that's what one hopes. A couple of readers have said the sequel can stand alone but I wouldn't recommend it.
